Spidey Cat

In two weeks, we'll be halfway to halloween. And it's my duty to have Indy ready for whatever costume may come his way. I think he secretly loves the preparation. We both know that we have a love/hate relationship. Today I love him, and he hates me.

Return of the Torpedo

The torpedo belly has returned. Not that I didn't expect it to. This picture was taken at 32 weeks. Of course the belly will only continue to grow... outward and more torpedo like.

During my last two weeks of pregnancy with Reichen, strangers would stare or comment on the size of my belly, or touch/rub it without asking. And this pregnancy is no different other than it all started much sooner. Just the other day in Wal-mart, a man who looked like he was in his 40's, let out with a loud exclamation "You are huge!! Dear Lord!!". Thinking he was saying this about his large wife, I thought to myself that this was very rude to say in public! But then I realized he's making eye contact with me. I said flatly, "You're talking to me aren't you." And he said "Yes, sister! Dear Lord, you are big!" All I could think to say was "you should see me in 4 weeks!"

I wonder what comments I'll be getting a month from now...

About Me

I'm a wife, mama, daughter, sister and friend. I'm in love with two boys - Avery and Reichen, and now a girl - Phoenix. I love traveling, experiencing different cultures, long hot baths, pedicures, sipping a cup of coffee, Dr. Pepper with crushed ice, pixy stix, my crazy cat, staring at the American flag, DVR, football, and entire seasons of television shows on DVD. Every week I read People magazine cover to cover as religiously as the sun rises and sets. I love hearing children say the pledge of allegiance and it takes everything within me not to sob like a baby when I hear the National Anthem.

I've been married to my best friend for almost ten years. No one makes me laugh harder than he does!! We've been missionaries with YWAM for the last 15 years. Together we're trying to raise strong sons so that no one will have to heal them as broken men.
